Editing Lesson

Today in class we went over how to edit. Editing entails importing, cutting, and creating a title.
Every time you check out a camera you have to fill out an equipment agreement. This insures that students are responsible for the equipment they use. Pinnacle studio is a software used for editing, as well. Students have to take the SD card and insert it into the SD reader. Only one person can log in at a time. Then the SD reader must be taken out and put into the USB holder. Students should create a folder and click the USB and the DCMI. If you are unable to find your video then you must click private and then AVCMD.

When you take out the footage from the camera you must move it into the camera. When importing, students must import from the computer to the desktop. Then, students must go to Pinnacle and click import and look for their folder, once they have checked everything they have to click start then import. When creating a track, students must drag the box down and build an AV Track, with a title, film, and sound. When cutting, students must move to the right before they cut and click razor blade. They must also click the yellow box and hit delete. After students should add a transition, in order to do that they must click and cut effect editor than select their transition. When they are finished they should click file, save movie as whatever they like, name it, put it in a folder, then save.

Editing also entails creating a title. When creating a title students must click "t" and type their title. After, they have to drag their title over to their track and click to edit their title. In order to add music students must make a MPEG-4. To make a sound students must click right and hit detach audio. To save, students must click export, when they are finished with their whole project. After they are finished they need to type "MPEG-4." Then select the best quality and start to export.
